Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Controller to oversee the accounting, financial
reporting, and budgeting functions of our organization based in
Louisville, Kentucky. This role will be pivotal in ensuring
accurate financial management across multiple entities, driving
process improvements, and supporting strategic decision-making. The
ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical
expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of
financial integrity. Responsibilities: • Manage daily accounting
operations for all entities, ensuring compliance and accuracy. •
Oversee monthly close processes for brokerage and real estate
partnerships, including intercompany transactions and
property-level financials. • Develop and maintain financial
reports, dashboards, and consolidated statements to support
management decisions. • Lead annual budget preparation, rolling
forecasts, and cash flow projections to provide insights into
financial planning. • Supervise commission tracking and payouts,
ensuring proper accruals and adherence to reporting requirements. •
Provide leadership to the accounting team, evaluating roles,
workloads, and implementing scalable processes. • Optimize the use
of financial systems to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure organized
records for compliance and strategic tax planning. • Enhance
internal controls and documentation standards across all financial
processes. • Support capital expenditure planning and growth
scenario modeling for long-term financial sustainability. • Minimum
of 7 years of accounting or financial management experience,
preferably in real estate. • Strong expertise in budgeting,
forecasting, and cash flow analysis. • Demonstrated ability to
create and analyze consolidated financial statements and reports. •
Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of commission accounting and related
compliance requirements. • Proven leadership skills in managing and
developing accounting teams. • Ability to streamline processes and
implement effective internal controls.
