By blending people-centric leadership with disciplined operational strategies and purpose-driven growth, Barry-Wehmiller has become a $3 billion organization with nearly 12,000 team members united by a common belief: to use the power of business to build a better world.Job Description:Reporting to the C&E Manager for End of Line solutions, Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of concepting and estimating new equipment and solutions in a particular product line or group of product lines while mitigating the risk of each project and application. This individual will utilize a deep understanding of the wide range of applications of BWIS and other complimentary products, along with our client's needs, in generating the optimal solution for a given application.Job Responsibilities:

• Spend significant time concepting and estimating, and ensuring timely support to the Commercial team
• Identify and analyze customer needs and complete equipment utilization worksheets
• Review customer bid specifications to ensure expectations will be met by our offering
• Create equipment/line layouts
• Develop complete proposal package as a deliverable to customer
• Create applications package to handoff sold projects to operations
• Maintain standards library for equipment layouts
• Work with OEM Partners including communicating customer objectives and obtaining accurate proposals to be incorporated into our offer.
• Be apart on an environment of continuous improvement to help support reductions in engineering content (%) on sold products
• All other duties as assignedEducation/Experience:
  • 5+ years related experience in Applications or Concepting with a global company
    • A bachelor's degree in engineering or similar experience is desired
    • Experience working in the Packaging Industry and with a sophisticated CRM system desiredAdditional Qualities:

      • Experience and competency with Microsoft Office products
