Summary:
Monitors and controls blood collection on the surgical field and oversees blood recovery procedures in accordance with established methods, procedures and standards of practice.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days
Responsibilities:
Sets up and operates autologous blood salvaging systems for elective and emergency procedures.
Provides support during open heart procedures and intra-aortic balloon pump procedures.
Ensures accuracy of clinical documentation and provides support with intra-aortic balloon pump.
Provides perfusion laboratory services and required quality controls.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

  Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  Required Licensure/Certification: None required.
  Minimum Experience: Preferred
• Autotransfusion experience is strongly preferred.
• Operating room or direct patient care experience.
  The pay range for this position is: $21.49 - $27.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
