FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $ $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:
Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
  • State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
  • 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.The Heart Team at Medical Center of the Rockies delivers world-class care to patients who need highly skilled, cutting-edge surgical treatment. MCR consistently runs 2 cardiac surgery rooms simultaneously while assisting in TAVR procedures and functioning in our new Hybrid suite.
