Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A specialized opportunity is available for experienced Operating Room nurses with orthopedic and joint surgery expertise. This contract role is based in Englewood, CO, at a prominent medical center's main Operating Room unit. The position offers flexible day and evening shifts and requires active NBSTA and DORA certifications. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid nursing licensure with a focus on Operating Room techniques Proven orthopedic and joint surgery experience NBSTA and DORA certifications required Flexibility to work day and evening hours; call duty is necessary Skills in self-direction and teamwork are essential Preferred candidates will have Level I trauma and advanced trauma experience Responsibilities: Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, scrub techs, and support staff Support orthopedic and joint surgical procedures utilizing the latest technology and equipment Maintain stringent adherence to unit protocols and patient safety standards Provide expert nursing care in a setting with 14 dedicated OR suites Utilize electronic medical record systems (Meditech) proficiently for documentation and communication Schedule/Hours: Primarily day shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility for 1500-2300 or 1100-2100 shifts considered Call responsibilities as part of the role About the Location: Situated in Englewood, Colorado, this hospital offers a collaborative environment supported by a skilled team of 70 full-time employees.
