Job Description:
At Swedish Medical Center, a leader in comprehensive healthcare,
we are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Labor
and Delivery department. This role is pivotal in managing nursing
activities, ensuring that our high standards of care are met with
every patient experience. Reporting directly to the Unit Manager,
the Clinical Nurse Coordinator will oversee the labor and delivery
nursing staff, coordinate patient care, and ensure compliance with
health and safety regulations. This position requires a combination
of clinical expertise and leadership skills to effectively support
the team and advocate for the best patient outcomes. Direct and
oversee all nursing staff within the Labor and Delivery unit.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
from admission to discharge. Implement and monitor compliance with
all health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular
staff evaluations and training sessions to ensure clinical
competence. Develop and maintain effective communication channels
with patients, families, and team members. Manage patient records
and documentation with precision and in accordance with legal
requirements. Assist in the development of departmental goals and
the continuous assessment and improvement of services. Expertise in
labor and delivery nursing practices Strong leadership and team
management skills Proficient in patient care coordination Ability
to handle stressful situations with professionalism Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of healthcare
regulations and safety standards Medical Insurance Dental Insurance

license in the state of employment BLS/CPR certification ACLS
certification preferred Certification in Inpatient Obstetric
Nursing (RNC-OB) advantageous
