Job Description:
UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in
Colorado, seeks an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
specialized in Medical Oncology for our night shift, committed to
delivering exceptional patient care in our dynamic oncology unit.
This role is pivotal in administering patient-centered, specialized
oncology nursing care to patients with cancer. The successful
candidate will thrive in a challenging environment and be dedicated
to improving patient outcomes through innovative and compassionate
care. Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed
by the oncologist. Monitor patient reactions and complications
arising from treatment, and coordinate care to mitigate these
effects. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss
and plan patient care. Educate patients and their families on
treatment expectations, side effects, and self-management
strategies. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance
with all regulatory, hospital, and departmental requirements.
Support the implementation of clinical and operational initiatives
geared towards care improvement. Adjust nursing care plans as
necessary Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and managing
side effects Strong ability to communicate effectively with
patients, families, and healthcare teams Critical thinking skills
necessary for complex clinical decision-making High level of
emotional intelligence and resilience in managing emotionally

Colorado or a compact state BLS certification from the American
Heart Association ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
