UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Ortho Trauma team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality care to patients suffering from orthopedic injuries and trauma. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for ortho trauma patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care teams to enhance patient outcomes. Monitor patient health status and response to treatment and adjust nursing care processes as necessary. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, post-treatment care and injury prevention. Maintain accurate patient records and prepare reports on patients' status. Participate in professional development and mentorship programs. Strong clinical skills and ability to manage trauma. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado. BLS/CPR certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred but not required. Orthopaedic Nursing Certification (ONC) considered an asset.
