Job Description:
UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in
Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN)
to join our Cardiac ICU team. This position demands high-level
clinical expertise to provide specialized nursing care for patients
with life-threatening heart conditions. The Cardiac ICU RN will
work in a dynamic environment with advanced medical technology,
supported by a dedicated healthcare team committed to exceptional
patient outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to engage in
complex critical care procedures, collaborate with cardiac
specialists, and contribute to pioneering heart care treatments.
Provide direct nursing care to patients with severe cardiac
conditions in a critical care setting. Monitor patient vital signs,
administer medications, and communicate with physicians to provide
a cohesive treatment plan. Respond to life-saving situations,
employing ACLS protocols. Educate patients and their families on
disease processes, medical procedures, and discharge plans.
Maintain patient records with accuracy, ensuring confidentiality
and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
Proficiency in ACLS and BLS Excellent critical thinking and
problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication
skills Ability to work under pressure in high-stress environments
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Medical

Current Registered Nurse License in the state of Colorado
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
