Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital North,
US:CO:Colorado Springs Department: Lab Cytology Work Schedule: Full
Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $36.19
- $54.28 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant
experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a
hybrid or remote option Summary: Performs clinical diagnostic
studies and evaluations of cellular material from all body sites.
Responsibilities: Performs routine screening of GYN and non-GYN
specimens, reports results and documents daily workload records.
Processes specimens for analysis according to specifications
related to the type of specimen. Assists with the collection and
processing of fine needle aspiration specimens. Performs quality
control assessment, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Serves as a consultant to laboratory staff and other clinical staff
as needed. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills,
decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal
supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and
take appropriate action. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related
field and graduate of an accredited Cytotechnologist program.
Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) by the American Society
for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). State licensure if required by law.
