Job Description:
UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered
Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit Fellowship at our
nonprofit, Colorado-based health system. This role offers a dynamic
opportunity for an RN to enhance their skills in a supportive and
state-of-the-art environment, focusing on patient-centered care.
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides intermediate-level care
for patients who require close monitoring and advanced medical
treatment. Our fellowship program is designed to prepare nurses
with foundational skills in handling more complex patient
situations, gearing them towards excellence in critical care
nursing. Administer and manage patient medications and treatments.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patient
conditions. Operate medical equipment and assist with procedures
directly related to intermediate care. Educate patients and their
families on disease prevention and health maintenance. Participate
in interdisciplinary team meetings to review patient plans and
improve care strategies. Support patients during the recovery
process and provide compassionate care. Strong clinical skills with
a focus on respiratory and cardiovascular patient care. Ability to
work effectively in a high-pressure environment. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using
electronic health record systems. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered
Nurse license in the state of Colorado. BLS/CPR certification from
the American Heart Association or Red Cross. ACLS certification is
preferred.
