Position Details: Med Surg RN- Scottsbluff NE Location : Scottsbluff NE, 69361 Project Duration : 13 weeks Pay range : $54-$57 an hour Shift : Night Shift 6p – 6a Job Summary: The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and post-operative needs. The RN utilizes clinical expertise, critical thinking, and organizational skills to deliver safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately. Monitor vital signs, lab results, and patient responses to treatment. Assist with wound care, dressing changes, catheterization, and other bedside procedures. Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, surgeries, and discharge planning. Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and post-discharge care. Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members. Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Maintain infection control and patient safety standards. Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities. Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or Multi-state license. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Experience: Previous Med Surg or acute care experience required.
