Must be capable of performing CAD drafting in AutoCAD Civil 3D. A working knowledge of ArcGIS is desirable. Must meet schedules and be capable of participating in other projects and tasks as assigned by managers and engineers.This position will--give you a wide variety of projects to work on which include, but will not be limited, to:* Assisting Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD productions, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparations, legal descriptions, and computing survey points* Assist project managers on scope, schedules, and budgets for land surveying projects* Assist in preparation of survey proposals* Processing of raw field data through Trimble Business Center* Preform QA/QC checks of collected survey data, and field procedures * Coordinate and work with Survey Supervisor/LS and Tech support for field crews and other office staff, expected growth to lead a team* Mentor/Teach younger techniciansThis position will also work within a diverse group of markets and clients such as:* Land Development - Residential, Commercial, Industrial--Construction - Site Development, Heavy--Civil, Vertical Construction, Streets and Highways, Mining, Energy Development, and more!* Government including municipal, education,--transportation and moreCoffey is a great place to work and this job may be a right fit for many candidates.The ideal candidate for this job may be:* a professional that wants an opportunity to grow* a seasoned pro looking to get into diverse projects* a smart, hardworking, team oriented professional that wants to be a part of a tight knit team of professionals* one that is tired of the corporate atmosphere and wants more flexibility in their career.The ideal candidate has the following experience and qualities:* Position requires 3+ years of land surveying experience in a survey technician role.* Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction staking and staking calculations, surface models. * Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities.* Proficient with Trimble Business Center.* Ability to manage multiple tasks, project coordination, and interaction with other design services.* Full use of Microsoft Office Software * Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills, team oriented.* Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode.* Self-motivated, project driven responsibilities and ability to complete work unsupervised. * Ability to utilize survey field equipment * SIT registration or in pursuit * Survey Field experience Our Mission:--To serve the communities of our region with quality solutions for diverse clients.Our Core Purpose:--Our focus on the well-being of our exceptional employees and their families provides an optimal environment to exceed the expectations of our clientele.
