We currently employ over 220 people worldwide. Founded in Scotland, we are now a global business with offices in Singapore and recently opened in Loveland Colorado. To support our strategic growth into North America we are now recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel.
Reporting into the Head of Legal, the Senior Legal Counsel for North America will initially be focused on providing strategic and practical support to enable our sales and operational delivery teams to spin up efficiently and effectively within the US, working closely with the UK Legal team to ensure a fully cross-jurisdictional organisation. As in-house counsel, your role will be varied and will continually evolve as the North American business develops.
Job Overview -Main responsibilities:

• Providing comprehensive legal support for IGS across North America.
  
• Supporting the business with contract lifecycle management, template creation and the development of
  
• contracting standards applicable to IGS to achieve organization-wide consistency.
  
• Developing and preparing legal playbooks and negotiation strategies with a North American focus
  
• Supporting corporate governance and regulatory compliance, including data privacy requirements.
  
• Assisting with possible financing transactions from time to time; interpret and ensure compliance with any
  
• current financing obligations.
  
• Working closely with HR, Health & Safety, Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  
• Preparing business cases and executive summaries detailing the key commercial principles and any legal
  
• Preparing and delivering training and tool kits for the business and help to root in the required contracting
  
• Supervises and trains junior legal counsel. Actively managing outside counsel as required.
  
  The Person- Essential
  
  • 
    
  • A Juris Doctor and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
    
  • Several years experience as an in-house corporate counsel, legal counsel, contract manager or related
    
  • position
    
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial and contract law.
    
  • Experience of negotiating complex and routine commercial contracts, including master services agreements,
    
  • SOWs, SaaS agreements, supply chain agreements, licensing and other technology agreements.
    
  • High standard of legal drafting which reflects an advanced knowledge of contract terms and conditions, legal
    
  • requirements for compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and IGS's overall strategies.
    
  • Acute awareness and understanding of applicable legislation and regulatory requirements for IGS to be able
    
  • to operate and thrive within the US.
    
    Desirable -Additional relevant industry or industry specific experience is of advantage, and experience in Contract Litigation, Intellectual Property or commercial leases.
    Base Salary Range: 140K-160K
