We give youth a place to call home.BGCLC is looking for an energetic, fun-loving, adaptable individual to help foster a fun, safe, and positive before and after school experience for elementary-aged children within Thompson School District. This individual will be the direct assistant to the Club Director, serve as the leader in the absence of the Director, and will communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and community members. The Child Care Program Lead will help to ensure safety and act as a mentor/role model for all Club members. The person in this position will create, implement, and lead activities in the areas of homework help, technology, sports, recreation, and the arts. This individual will promote and stimulate program participation while ensuring the five key elements of positive youth development: fun, supportive relationships, safe and positive environment, opportunities & expectations, and recognition.Positions are available at our Riverview K-8 Club and Winona Elementary Club.The pay range for this non-exempt position starts at $15.00 - $17.00/hour.$100 Sign On Bonus (Bonus included in first pay check)Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience
    • Must have at least 460 verifiable hours of experience working with children ages 5 -12.
    • Prior experience working in an after-school setting or with elementary age children highly preferred.Specialized Skills
      • Bilingual Spanish speaking is highly preferred.
      • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
      • Demonstrated ability to comfortably and without judgement, communicate about sensitive subjects with youth and parents.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality, secure personal information and comply with mandated reporting requirements.
      • Candidates must be able to pass a drug test that includes screening for marijuana, criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks. What we offer:
