Job Description:

Job Summary: The Lead Electrical Assembler will develop, organize and maintain focus on fostering team member development and the specifications, design and electrical aspects of projects on a daily basis. This position also has responsibility for the I/O startup and turnover of equipment, which will promote proper workflow thru the electrical process. Success is measured by on-time, on-budget, and quality equipment; executed in alignment with our focus on People, Performance and Products through the framework of the BW Way.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

• Demonstrate responsibility for the personal safety of self and others by maintaining a clean, orderly hazard free work environment, and compliance with safety practices and regulations.
• Actively promote Safety in a positive manner, proactively identifies and resolves Safety issues, report any apparent Safety concerns or violations to direct leader and/or CPD leader. Daily Operations
  • Oversee daily activity of electrical team
  • Ensure a high quality finished product
  • Coordinate with engineering production control, assembly, purchasing, sales, shipping and People Team departments
  • Participate in Internal Awareness, Project Kick-Off, daily touch meetings, FAT, Risk Assessments and Project Wrap-Up meetings as required
  • Ensure and maintain communication with manufacturing leads and personnel to coordinate production activities, production flow and any other matters that pertain to company business
  • Enforce the facility quality program and objectives
  • Develop and enforce standards set upon the electrical team for developing quality products
  • Ensure the electrical team is trained on job related subjects, policies and procedures
  • Provide electrical input on new jobs and/or product design to enhance manufacturability
  • Read and administer customer and machine specifications to ensure that they are incorporated into production
  • Conduct all activities in a manner that is at all times fair, moral, ethical and legal
  • Ensure the team is focused on reducing product costs and improving the use of labor hours on projects
  • Report any apparent violations of the general workplace guidelines to the Lead or People Team representative
  • All other duties as assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    • Five years supervisory experience in an industrial background
    • Working knowledge of package handling equipment
    • Highly self-motivated
    • Must work well with little to no supervision
    • Must work well with numbers in order to develop work schedules
    • Ability to produce results under high stress situations periodically ADA REQUIREMENTS:
      • Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously.
      • Bend, squat, twist, kneel, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move about frequently and for extended periods of time.
      • Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally.
      • Work overhead occasionally.
      • Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards.
      • Grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer.
      • Noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
